Weight training is back on the table.

I’ve decided that I need to change a few things about my training. Not to do with it not working before, but slightly different emphasis. A couple of videos from EIRC

Someone (Jane) was kind enough to take a couple of videos of my race from last weekend. The first one is near the start of the race, the second one is the closing 40 seconds or so. What’s interesting is the rate I’m rowing at. There’s only a 2 stroke difference (34 vs 32) – but it felt like I’d really slowed down my rate when I was doing it – but in reality, not that much! Video – a quick way to start a sprint

I’m not 100% sold on how short the movements this guy makes are – but this is similar to how I start a race, three quick, short (though a bit longer than his) pulls, then settle into the main rhythm (around 34spm for sprints for me)
